I was born in May 1951. Grew up on Sigismund Road for 18 years. Attended Lakenham Infants School, Lakenham Junior School, City of Norwich School, and Queen Elizabeth College London University.

Other organisations that I was a member of during childhood includes: cubs, scouts, and Norfolk Olympiads Athletic Club.

Joined the Young Socialists in London in January 1971. Left QEC to move back to Norwich in June 1971. Started building a branch of the Young Socialists in Norwich, 1972. Our branch attended the founding conference of the Workers Revolutionary Party (WRP) in 1973.

Hobby interests include: tape recording sounds and music from 1967-1973. Practical electronics 1969-1977. School discos organised with a friend. Entertainments Committee at QEC 1969-1970. Mobile disco 1972-1977. Photography from 1978, videography from 2015.

Other organisations that I was a member of include: Norwich Photographic Workshop, Wensum Camera Club, Norwich & District Photographic Society, Norwich & Norfolk CAMRA.

Unions I have been a member of include NUS, GMB, AEU, TSSA, NUR, RMT, UNISON.

Politically I still support the WRP & Young Socialists which I have done since 1971 although ill health disabilities limit what I can do now. However, if you hear of an event happening locally that needs photographs please let me know. I also do video if time permits.

The photos I took of picket lines in the 2010s were courtesy of Anna who had a car to drive there and conduct interviews leaving me able to concentrate solely on the photography. Two is always better than one in these cases but especially when you are old with illnesses and ailments. Recemtly I have only been able to get to a few events as I have been concentrating on reposting news that is constantly coming from sources.
